CONISTON HALL!

18th October 2019

We’re moving!!

We have some BIG BIG news to share with you all…. We’re moving!

This morning one of our founders David Spencer was on Cannock Radio sharing our exciting news!

We are all very excited for the next chapter of Cannock and District Foodbank, but we still need your help – we need help preparing!

We have our own DIY SOS style appeal…

  1. Skilled jobs
Are you a skilled plumber or electrician that wants to give back to your local community? Could you volunteer a few hours of your time to help us get Coniston Hall fit for purpose?
  2.  Shelving
Are you a business owner that might be able to donate some warehouse factory shelving?

Please get in touch if you can help with any of our ‘preparation’ work!

We also have an appeal for money to help us cover the costs of relocating Cannock and District Foodbank to Coniston Hall in Chadsmoor!

We are looking to raise £10,000 to help us get Coniston Hall ready and OPEN!

Lastly, we need volunteers! We need to fill the following roles in order to open Coniston Hall!

  • Caretaker – carry out general handy man duties for around 2 hours a week
  • Warehouse helpers
  • Clothes bank supporters

If you are interested, please visit our ‘Volunteer’ page to download an application form and send it in!

NEW Clothes Bank!

As well as the BIG move, when we are all set up, we will be opening a clothes bank!

It will be known as Coniston Clothes. The aim is to recycle good clothes to low income families at very affordable prices.

This is such an exciting new addition & we can’t wait to get it set up & in place!

1) We will be selling clothes, at a nominal fee to help towards the running costs of the centre.
2) We will also operate a ‘referral system’ for people who use our Foodbank and where we see fit, we will give clothes to people in genuine need.
Clothes donations can be taken to our new centre, Coniston Hall (on the corner of Cecil Street and Cannock Road in Chadsmoor) from Mon-Fri between the hours of 10am – 3pm.
