Give Help

Volunteer

Volunteers are the life blood of foodbanks. Your skills could be just what we need.

Volunteers are the driving force behind foodbanks. There are thousands of volunteers across the UK, helping The Trussell Trust Foodbank Network get emergency food to people in crisis. We want you to enjoy volunteering and there are lots of ways to get involved. Whatever role you choose, you will make a real difference to the life of someone in crisis.

Fundraising Team Member

Raising funds from the community can be very rewarding and enjoyable. Volunteer fundraisers play a vital role in helping to ensure Cannock and District foodbank can be there for the thousands of people locally. Income generation is key to our continued success. We’d love to have a committed individual who can initiate and coordinate all our funding raising opportunities. This role would have flexible hours.

Coniston Hall Volunteers

Firstly, we need a caretaker to undertake general handy man duties. This role would be around 2 hours per week. We also need warehouse helpers to help sort and pack food. This role would be around 2-3 hours per week. Lastly, we need clothes bank supporters! This role would be around 2-3 hours per week.

Foodbank Drivers

Volunteer drivers will be asked to collect regular food orders from the Foodbank warehouse in Chadsmoor and deliver to our distribution centres around Cannock and surrounding areas. Ideally, we would like volunteers to commit to 1 shift every week, on either a Wednesday or Friday for a few hours. Drivers must have at least 2 years driving experience and to have driven a van. The Volunteer must be able to transport and lift crates of food up to 20kg. Currently, we are looking for more Foodbank drivers to help with the changes to our processes caused by COVID-19.
