This week’s news!

19th November 2019

Christmas is coming and we need Your help!

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in the supermarkets…
Children love this time of year, but it puts a lot of pressure of families who are struggling to cover basic costs.
Could you donate an advent calendar to the Foodbank this year? We need them BEFORE FRIDAY 29th NOVEMBER.
We’ll get them sent out and make sure it brings a smile, every morning, to the faces of children who might not otherwise receive these kind of treats.
Please see our ‘Donate Food’ page to see where you can drop them off!

Launching…..the OPERATION CHRISTMAS PRESENT FUND!

Each year we come across families who can’t afford to buy their children a Christmas present. We would like to raise £500 to buy Christmas Presents for families in need within the local area this year.

With your help, we can make sure everyone has a good Christmas.Follow our ‘Just Giving’ link to contribute towards our appeal!

Competition time!

Launching our ‘Pride of Cannock’ PHOTO COMPETITION!

We are looking for 6 portrait pictures showing aspects of our local heritage and area to display in the front windows at our new Foodbank warehouse, Coniston Hall.

The best 6 photo’s received (chosen by a panel of esteemed judges) will take pride of place in the windows, overlooking Cannock Road in Chadsmoor and will become a lovely focal point for the local community!

Send your entries to [email protected] by Friday 22nd November.

We want to say thank you!

We just wanted to say a MASSIVE THANK YOU! The incredible community spirit that we witness here on a daily basis at the Foodbank is overwhelming. ?

Since we shared news of our new warehouse, there has been an outpouring of support, love & offers of volunteers, donations & help.

Thank you so much for all your continued support.

Thank you to Cannock Lions for their generous donation of 50 advent calendars, recently delivered by their President, Linda Hopkins.

Thanks to all of the amazingly generous donations from the public over the recent week, we now have plenty of advent calendars to gift to local families in need. Thank you!

Every little helps!

We’ll be collecting food in Tesco Hednesford & Heath Hayes next Thursday 21st – Saturday 23rd November.

The food collected will help to create festive hampers & help with our Christmas giving campaign! Together we can make sure everyone enjoys the festive season!

Volunteers Wanted!

After our recent move into new premises, we need more help to get our warehouse stock sorted, labelled & stacked away in the right place.

Can you spare a few hours a week? Monday to Friday, morning or afternoon.

If you’re interested in helping please drop us your email address & we’ll send you a volunteer application form. Thank you!

Coniston Hall Update!

The move to our new warehouse is now complete and ready to start taking donations from you all! We look forward to welcoming you all to our new food hub 🙂
