This week’s news!

23rd September 2019

This week’s shortages!

“Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously.” (2 Corinthians 9:6)
Harvest is all about sharing, caring and coming together to help those in need.
When many people give a little – collectively the results are astounding!
This harvest we are asking people to consider giving something from our ‘Top 10 most needed list’:
– Tinned meat
– Tinned Fruit
– Tinned tomatoes
– Tinned fish
– Pasta sauce
– Squash
– UHT Milk
– Rice pudding / custard
– Biscuits & snacks
– Coffee

We want to say thank you!

Thank you so much to Cannock Lions Club – CIO for their recent donation of £250.

We had a lovely visit from their President, Linda Hopkins and Lesley & Chris Pearce last week. Money has been raised via various fundraising events throughout the year including a beer festival, quiz nights and a line dancing evening.

They have a Fashion Show fundraiser on 10th October at The Roman Way Hotel if anybody would like to support them.

These monetary donations are a lifeline to enable us to continue our work, so we are hugely grateful.

Step up September!

We’re half way through the month & one of our team members & her children are doing really well so far with the 11,000 steps a day ‘STEP UP SEPTEMBER challenge!

Are any of you also doing the Step Up September challenge for us? (Make sure you let us know so we can give you a shout out!)

If you’re not taking the challenge yourself but would like to sponsor Becky & her children – here is the link!

We want to say thank you!

No charity can replace the dignity of having enough money to buy food.

But, we know that a friendly environment to sit and have a cuppa & a chat, as well as receiving advice about where to get more support is just as invaluable as the food received.

Our volunteers are shining beacons to so many local, vulnerable people and we are hugely grateful for everything they do.
