This week’s news!

#StepUpSeptember!

Have any of you been over-indulging through the summer? Would you like to get fit and help Cannock and District Foodbank at the same time?

Let’s all get involved with #StepUpSeptember

Tag a friend or family member who could join you in trying to reach 11,000 steps every day across the month of September. Get yourselves sponsored and donate any raised funds to support us in stamping out hunger.

Donations & fundraising can be forwarded to:
https://cannockdistrict.foodbank.org.uk/give-…/donate-money/

Let’s all get fit and help people in our community!

This week’s shortages!

We are very, very grateful for your continued support with all your kind donations through the busy Summer Holiday period.
These are our specific shortages of this week:
1. Tinned fruit
2. Tinned puddings / rice pudding
3. Coffee
4. Crisps
5. Tinned tomatoes
Donations can be taken to your local Asda, Co-Op, Morrison’s, Sainsbury’s or Tesco. Additions drop-off locations are listed here.

Did you know?…

You might have seen this image used on our page but weren’t sure what it means…
So, just to fill you in – each 3 day food parcel that we hand out here at Cannock & District Foodbank contains an (incredible!) average of £30 worth of food, (all of which is donated by you – our amazing supporters)!
But, there are also many HIDDEN financial costs involved in operating this kind of service. With our overheads (some of which are listed on this photo) – statistics show that it costs us an average of £4 per person, to process each application.
That’s why as well as food – we’re also super grateful for your monetary donations.
