This week’s news!

We want to say thank you…

Thank you so much to all the new regular donors of £5 (or more) a month who have joined our 200 CLUB recently! We’re now up to 38 amazing, generous donors every month!

(The 200 CLUB is simply a name for our plight to find 200 people who would be willing to give a regular standing order / monthly donation of £5 a month.)

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

We want to say goodbye and thank you!

We would like to extend our huge thanks and gratitude to Don Blower, one of our long-term regular volunteers who has recently retired from his position here.

Don has given outstanding service in his role as Volunteer Coordinator over the past few years. His hard work, dedication and commitment has made a huge difference in helping us to identify, raise and appoint a very large number of volunteers who are the life-blood of this organisation.

He leaves behind a lasting legacy of his time here with us. It is difficult, in words, to quantify the very significant difference that he has made, ultimately to people struggling to provide for their own and their families basic needs.

Don – we all wish you well for the future and hope you will still pop and see us from time to time.

Volunteering Opportunity!

Due to the recent retirement of our long term fabulous volunteer, Don – we are looking for a new Co-Ordinator to manage our growing bank of volunteers.

This role is responsible for sorting applications, interviewing, collecting references, liaising with our centres to identify possible opportunities & appointing people into suitable positions.

Ideally, the Volunteer Co-Ordinator would work once a week for 3-4 hours.

If this role interests you, please send us your email address & we’ll forward an application form.

Top tips!

“HOW CAN I HELP?”

Rough sleepers are particularly vulnerable in extreme temperatures and in this heat are prone to dehydration & sun stroke.

  1. Donate fruit cordial / squash … to help reduce the risk of dehydration
  2. Donate sunscreen  … to prevent sun burn
  3. Donate deodorant, wet wipes, toiletries … to help maintain dignity

We desperately need your help!!

UH-OH!!! We’ve run out of long life milk.

Any donations of milk cartons would be VERY gratefully received.

Please take them to our collections boxes at Asda, Co-Op, Morrison’s, Sainsbury’s & Tesco’s!

Thank you!
